Poutine Cravings (recipe)

Recently I have been craving Poutine. Maybe it’s because the added stress of three tests two on the same day, but either way I had to make some. And I have decided to share some of my PEI experience and the food that I brought home to make me fat. What is poutine? Poutine is a Canadian dish made with yummy warm crispy fries, cheese curds, and gravy! Mmmmmeee… my mouth is watering just thinking about it! It’s one of my favorite fall comfort foods. My family went on vacation to Prince Edward Island last year. It was the first time I had […]

Crappy Writing: Time

Let’s face it. My last blog post sucked, and also the Mondays I missed posting sucked too. So todays post is going to be on Crappy Writing! Lately I have felt like I am drowning in a sea of everything. I started college and am practically teaching myself French. I had forgotten how hard it was to memorize things and that didn’t make any of my other subjects easy ether. I have two papers due this week and two tests. Beside college, my little brother is turning two! Cutie! I’ve been trying to fight the whirlwind that wants to […]

Keep Calm and Write On: NaNoWriMo is Coming

Happy Labor Day! How is College for everyone who is going? I have found out that it is just a teeny more time consuming than I had thought it would be. Thus, how do I MAKE TIME TO PLOT OUT MY NOVEL BEFORE NOVEMBER? I haven’t looked at anything I wrote during Camp NaNo; much less started plotting. Today’s post is not about making time. Today’s post is about getting ready for November. What exactly do I need to do to be ready for NaNoWriMo? Some people are just beginning. They write out whatever has been building in their minds, they […]

“Boom Baby” Hair Mask

Recently a post  went out about my 5 Tips for curly/ Wavy Hair  . I thought maybe I should expand on the oil treatment. So here is a post on how to fix your lifeless hair! Think about how much your hair goes through. It gets slept on, rubbed on the back of car seats, the sun beats down on it anytime you step outdoors. It gets washed and dried and blown through and straitened or curled. It’s rubbed, crimped, dried, pulled on… I could go  on and on! Your hair goes through so much stress. No wonder it’s looking […]

5 Tips for Curly/Wavy Hair

Curly/wavy hair can be super frustrating. It never dries the same way, it may or may not look good one day no matter how you fix it, it frizzes out, it hangs limp and lifeless. Tassel Necklace Tutorial

Hi, guys! I may have bored some of you with all that writing stuff last month. Don’t worry, today is different! today I have recorded a video of how to make a  DIY tassel necklace with a pendant. Of course the pendant is optional, but I love it! When I first saw the tassel thing coming back in style I wasn’t sure about it. After I spent a pretty dime on a bracelet set I wear ALL the time that has a tassel on it, I decided that I had to try to make a necklace. I made it, and […]

Camp NaNo 2016: To the End!

The last week, Is it really here? Is the novel really that much more real? Can I really see the end to the editing? It has been an amazing month! This being my last blog post concerning Camp NaNo, even though we technically have another Monday in this month, I have a few more words of advice. The first piece of advice being: Don’t Slack Off! This isn’t the week to think, ‘Oh! I’m close to being done. I’ll write this later.’ Nope! Don’t do it. WRITE IT NOW! Even if you are behind, don’t give up yet. A lot […]

Camp NaNoWriMo 2016: The Story Monster

So, week three of Camp NaNoWriMo! I hope all your word counts are soaring and your creative juice rivers flooding. I think, in a way, the third week of Camp Nano is the hardest. Why? Because, it is almost over.  If you are writing a novel then the hardest part of your book is upon you. The most intense scene and decisions to stay with your plot, or break loose, are knocking at your door. If you are editing, the words are starting to run together, you’re going cross-eyed and you question the very existence of the words you put down […]

Writing Hurtles and Camp NaNoWriMo

I find that if I ignore the stories in my head, after a while the ideas quit coming. I might have a rare revelation and then quickly forget it, but that’s all. The last book I wrote was in December. Since then, I pushed away any new ideas so that I could edit in peace. After I edited, the ideas just were not there. I wasn’t writing much in the way of stories. If this Camp NaNo does nothing but get those creative ideas flowing again, it will be a success. I have written a couple paragraphs on several different […]
